September 2008 - Trading Standards Scheme Member
We are proud to announce that Plans 2 Improve is now a Trading Standards Buy With Confidence Member. We have been checked and vetted by Kent Trading Standards to ensure that we offer a consistant good level of customer service. Our procedures and methods of operations have also been checked to ensure that our practices are fair to customers. As part of the scheme Trading Standards have also obtained references

September 2008 - Permitted Development Rights
The planning system is changing from the 1st October for permitted development projects. The main changes are as follows:
(1) Extensions - new rules for volumes and heights
(2) Loft conversions - further restrictions on large dormers and volume changes
(3) Roof alterations - further restrictions on skylights, solar panels and roof structures
(4) Outbuildings - Restrictions on maximmum size of new outbuildings
(5) Paving - Non permeable paving to front drives now requires permission
(6) Micro energy - extension of what constitutes permitted development
